Privacy Policy

Last updated: 10/31/2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Billey ("we", "us", or "our"), available at billey.lovable.app, handles information when you use our free online invoice generator. This page is maintained by the Billey team to answer common privacy questions about the service.

Your invoice data stays in your browser

Billey does not store your personal invoice data on external servers. Every business name, client name, address, line item, price, tax rate, note, and uploaded logo you type into the generator is kept locally in your browser using localStorage. Your invoices are never uploaded, transmitted to us, or shared with any third party.

Because your data lives in your browser, clearing your browser storage, using private browsing mode, or switching devices will remove your saved drafts and history. You are responsible for downloading and safely archiving any PDF invoices you need to keep.

Information we do collect

When you visit Billey, our hosting provider automatically receives standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and the pages you visit. This information is used to keep the site running securely and to understand aggregate traffic patterns.

Google AdSense and third-party advertising

Billey may display advertisements served by Google AdSense and other third-party advertising partners to help keep the tool free. These partners may use cookies, web beacons, device identifiers, and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to Billey and other websites on the internet.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve personalized ads to users based on their visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info.

Analytics

We may use third-party analytics services (such as Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use Billey in aggregate — for example, which pages are most popular and how users navigate between them. These services may set cookies or collect anonymous usage data as described in their own privacy policies. They do not receive the contents of invoices you create.

Cookies

Billey uses a small number of cookies and browser storage entries:

  • Essential storage: to save your invoice drafts, history, theme preference, and cookie-consent choice locally in your browser.
  • Advertising cookies: set by Google AdSense and its partners when ads are displayed.
  • Analytics cookies: set by our analytics providers to measure aggregate site usage.

You can accept or reject non-essential cookies through the consent banner shown on your first visit, and you can clear cookies at any time through your browser settings.

Children's privacy

Billey is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent changes. Continued use of Billey after updates means you accept the revised policy.
